Welcome
Welcome to the Lions Club of
Milton Keynes (Stony Stratford) The club was formed in 1975 and is
celebrating 36 years of service to local, national and international
communities.
Our website is designed to show the outside world who we are, what we do
and our wider role in the local and international community, as well as
keep fellow club members and other Lions informed of our latest projects
and events.
Our Club is part of the world's largest network of voluntary service
organisations, Lions Clubs International, which has as its prime
objective to create and foster a spirit of understanding among the
peoples of the world. Lions Clubs take an active interest in the civic,
cultural, social and moral welfare of their communities and promote the
principles of good government and good citizenship. The money raised by
the Lions is used principally to help people in the local community, but
also, in line with the Lions’ worldwide perspective, to help those in
need in other countries, particularly the Third World. We also
contribute to disaster areas across the globe.

Lions donate around 5.7 million hours
and £88 million to humanitarian causes each year.
As a volunteer organisation all the money we raise goes directly to
charity. All administration costs are met by members.
